'The Rock' appointed to UFC, WWE's TKO Group board of directors

Associated Press reports that Dwayne Johnson, former wrestling star and movie actor, also known as “The Rock”, has been selected for the board of directors for The TKO Group. This is the publicly traded organization that involves the UFC and WWE. In addition, Johnson has been given full ownership of the trademark “The Rock,” which was previously owned by WWE. He has also signed a new agreement with WWE for his promotional and merchandising services.

Johnson expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join the TKO Group, while also acknowledging the rich history and family legacy associated with it. He is excited to be involved in expanding the TKO, WWE, and UFC businesses globally.

Furthermore, Johnson anticipates a possible wrestling match with his cousin, Roman Reigns, who is the WWE universal champion. This potential match could take place at WrestleMania 40 in April, marking Johnson’s first proper wrestling match since 2013.
