While Bellator 300 marked a significant event for the promotion, Bellator 301 promises to be even more exciting. Taking place in Chicago on Nov. 17, the main card features a strong lineup of five fights, including two title fights, a Grand Prix semifinal, and the highly-anticipated return of AJ McKee.
The headline matchup at Wintrust Arena will be the welterweight championship bout between Yaroslav Amosov and Jason Jackson. With a perfect record of 27-0, Amosov showcased his brilliance in a title unifier against Logan Storely. However, Jackson has been making his mark with six consecutive victories over former world champions and title contenders, such as Douglas Lima, Benson Henderson, Neiman Gracie, and Paul Daley.
The co-main event on Friday’s card is expected to be the highlight of the night. Bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis, fresh off a successful title defense against featherweight champ Patricio Pitbull, will face interim titleholder and Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix winner Patchy Mix in an explosive and technically-challenging matchup.
Completing the main card are high-stakes fights between former lightweight champ Patricky Pitbull and Alexander Shabily, former featherweight champion AJ McKee and Sidney Outlaw, and a rematch between former interim bantamweight champ Raufeon Stots and Danny Sabatello, although the latter has raised some questions within the MMA community. The winner of Pitbull vs. Shabily will earn the chance to challenge lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov in the finals of the $1 million Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix.
