Max Holloway Explains Decision To Not Call Out Alexander Volkanovski After Korean Zombie Win

Despite his impressive win at UFC Singapore, Max Holloway has chosen not to call for a rematch with Alexander Volkanovski. This decision comes as no surprise, considering that Holloway has only suffered one loss in ten years at featherweight, and it was to Volkanovski. Despite this, Holloway remains the top contender in the division, consistently demolishing his opponents.

Holloway Leaves It Up to the Fans

Max Holloway further solidified his dominance in the division with a third-round knockout victory over Chan Sung Jung at UFC Singapore. Many expected Holloway to immediately call for a fourth fight with Volkanovski after this impressive win, but he had other plans. In the post-fight press conference, Holloway explained that he wants his performances in the Octagon to speak for themselves and let the fans decide his next move.

Holloway stated, “I’m not here to call anybody out, I’m not here to ask for no fights. I’m just here to have a good time and make some money. So whatever way it goes.”

It’s undeniable that Holloway has proven himself time and time again, making it unnecessary for him to demand specific opponents. However, it will be intriguing to see how his future in the division unfolds.
