José Aldo Named To UFC Hall Of Fame Class Of 2023

Jose Aldo made his professional MMA debut in 2004 and won nine of his next 10 fights across multiple promotions. In 2008, he made his US debut in the WEC and won four fights via knockout, earning him a title shot against champion Mike Brown. In 2009, Aldo won the title match in the second round, becoming the WEC featherweight champion. He went on to defend his title nine times and became the inaugural UFC featherweight champion when the WEC was absorbed by Zuffa. His impressive winning streak of 17 fights over eight years made him one of the most successful and dominant champions in MMA history.
