‘It’s time to come see the man’

Colby Covington wishes to fight welterweight champ Leon Edwards in a July face-off. Covington, who remained in presence for Edwards’ bulk choice win over Kamaru Usman at UFC 286, anticipates to be next in line for a title shot. Although Edwards outstruck Usman and warded off the majority of his takedowns, Covington thinks he hasn’t battled anybody who can blend the takedowns and battling in a southpaw like him. Covington, who hasn’t completed considering that a dominant choice win over Jorge Masvidal last March, is positive he has the design to beat Edwards and is “hungrier than ever”. He stated he can beat Edwards striking, battling and jiu-jitsu. Covington is considering International Fight Week in July for the fight.
