By Geoffrey Ciani: Is it true or false? Did Lennox Lewis have a glass jaw?
Lennox Lewis was one of the most accomplished heavyweight boxers of all time, and for good reason. He was a 3-time heavyweight champion, with a long list of impressive victories over some of the top fighters of his era, from 1992 to 2003. He is the last undisputed heavyweight champion, and he retired with a perfect record, having never lost a single fight.
Lewis had notable wins against Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, and Vitali Klitschko, as well as several other top heavyweights such as Shannon βThe Cannonβ Briggs, Andrew Golota, Michael Grant, David Tua, and Donovan Razor Ruddock. However, the main criticism of Lewis is that he was stopped in his first fights against Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman, both of whom were not on his level.
Is it true or false? Did Lennox Lewis have a glass jaw?
This episode of Rummyβs Corner will attempt to answer this question, while taking a closer look at Lennox’s career in terms of his ability to take a punch, particularly his losses to McCall and Rahman, his revenge wins in the rematches, how his chin fared against other heavyweights, and whether or not he really had a “glass jaw” or a “glass chin”. Please watch and enjoy the video for one manβs opinion. This is Rummyβs Corner (presented and narrated by Geoffrey Ciani).
