2023 UFC event schedule: Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje 2, Tom Aspinall vs. Marcin Tybura on tap

For the past 16 months, London has regularly hosted UFC events and this weekend marks the fourth card in the city. Tom Aspinall, who suffered a severe knee injury exactly one year ago, will return to the O2 Arena to face Marcin Tybura on Saturday night.

Aspinall had been on a rapid rise in the heavyweight division before his injury. He headlined last year’s UFC Fight Night in London, having set the record for the shortest total fight time across his first five UFC appearances. Unfortunately, his career took a hit when he suffered a knee injury just 15 seconds into his fight with Blaydes. Now, Aspinall is making a comeback to challenge Tybura, who has been in excellent form.

At the end of the month, the UFC will be back in the PPV market with a card that promises to be exciting for fans. On July 29, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will have a rematch of their 2018 Fight of the Year contest at UFC 291. Poirier and Gaethje will be competing for the ceremonial BMF belt. The card will also feature former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira in his light heavyweight debut against former 205-pound champ Jan Blachowicz. Other fan favorites on the card include Tony Ferguson, Bobby Green, Paulo Costa, Stephen Thompson, Derrick Lewis, and Kevin Holland.
