Usman out to prove that Edwards' legendary knockout was a one-off

UFC welterweight champ Leon Edwards is getting ready for a high-stakes trilogy fight against Kamaru Usman as the underdog. Edwards, who lost to Usman in 2015 prior to making a rematch, enters the fight on the back of 9 successive wins. His triumph against Usman in August 2021, in which he landed a knockout blow with a left roundhouse kick to the head, was a historical minute. However, beating Usman in 3 out of 5 rounds in their approaching fight will be challenging for Edwards, offered Usman’s grappling benefit. Edwards will require a repeat of his knockout to safeguard his belt.
