In a post-fight interview, Barboza admitted to feeling disoriented from Yusuff’s initial assault, stating, “I didn’t know what the f— was going on.” However, he credited Yusuff for displaying a similar level of determination in the third round.
The defeat was a disappointment for Yusuff, but he found solace in the fact that he had admired Barboza since his childhood. Reflecting on the fight, Yusuff commented, “To put on what I believe is a Fight of the Night, it’s OK.”
With this win, Barboza has improved his overall MMA record to 24-11 and secured back-to-back victories. On the other hand, Yusuff’s professional record now stands at 13-3, with a 6-2 record in the UFC.
