UFC returns to PPV this week with its second event in July. The fight takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah and features a highly anticipated rematch between lightweights Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. Although there is no official title on the line, UFC is introducing the “BMF” title for this fight. The winner will have the retired titleholder Jorge Masvidal present them with the belt. Both Poirier and Gaethje have the opportunity to earn a shot at UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev with a strong performance in this fight.
Also on the card is a co-main event in the light heavyweight division between former champ Jan Blachowicz and former middleweight titleholder Alex Pereira. The winner of this fight could potentially position themselves for a title shot against Jiri Prochazka.
