UFC 284 was certainly a night to remember. Islam Makhachev defended his lightweight title in the main event in spite of a strong performance from featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. The judges gave Makhachev the nod, as he extended his win streak to 12.
The undercard was also filled with excitement as Yair Rodriguez earned the interim featherweight title with a second-round submission of Josh Emmett. Meanwhile, Jack Della Maddalena continued his impressive run with a first-round stoppage of Randy Brown.
