Bare-knuckle boxing bill progressing in Missouri House

Missouri Representative Willard Haley is promoting the effort to legislate bare-knuckle combating in the state, submitting an expense in the House each year considering that 2021. House Bill 48 specifies bare-knuckle combating as “the initial kind of boxing including 2 entrants battling without boxing gloves or other cushioning on their hands.” The costs would legislate the fight sport and manage it the like expert fumbling, kickboxing, and full-contact karate. The Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance’s Division of Professional Registration would manage the sport by gathering applications and providing licenses for entrants and those hosting bare-knuckle battling contests. Bare-knuckle combating is now legal in more than 20 states and numerous tribal locations.
