A surprising contender matchup takes center stage at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas this Saturday. Sean Strickland, ranked No. 7 in the UFC, will face Abus Magomedov, who is not currently ranked in the top 15. Despite being unranked, Magomedov made a powerful debut in the UFC with a 19-second knockout in his last fight. Strickland, on the other hand, is coming off a recent win against Nassourdine Imavov and will look to continue his momentum.
Looking ahead, UFC 290 is set to be a major event during the annual International Fight Week. The main event will feature a featherweight title unification bout between champion Alexander Volkanovski and interim titleholder Rodriguez. Additionally, the co-main event will see the flyweight champion Brandon Moreno seek to avenge his prior losses against challenger Alexandre Pantoja. The main card will also include exciting matchups with Robert Whittaker and Bo Nickal.
